Glenayre Paging Terminal Instructions

(Has a Female Voice for the Initial Answer)

You need to use a true touch tone phone to activate or use any of these optional features. To save your time, you may enter the #’s as quickly as possible once the terminal answers your call without waiting for it to finish playing each one of it’s prompts.   1. Dial your pager number:________________
  2. Press 0 when the terminal answers your call.
  3. Enter your three or four digit pass code when the terminal asks for it:__________

To Change Your Security Code

(Everyone starts out with a default code of 100. You should change it immediately since everyone familiar with this system will know and be able to check your voice mail if you do not pick your own private four digit security code. The new code must be 4 numbers long, not 3)

Press 17 to Enter the Change Security Code Menu

Press 3 to begin changing your code.

Then enter your new four digit security code and press the # button.

To Record Your Customized Greeting

(Voice Mail includes a Customized Greeting)

Press 11 To Enter the Greeting Menu

Press 30 to start Recording

Press 1 to stop Recording

Press 40 to listen to the Greeting that you just recorded.

To Play Numeric Messages

(You must have numeric retrieval to use this feature.)

Press 14 To enter the Numeric Retrieval Menu

Press 2 to delete the last message

Press 3 to play the newest to the oldest messages

Press 4 to play the oldest to the newest messages

Press 5 to replay the same message

Press 6 to play all messages

Press 7 to play the time and date that the message was entered

To Play Voice Messages

(You must have voice mail to use this feature.)

Press 2 to delete the last message

Press 3 to play the newest to the oldest messages

Press 5 to replay the same message

Press 6 to play all messages

Voice Mail with Customized Prompts

  1. Dial your pager number:________________
  2. Press 0 when the terminal answers your call.
  3. Enter your four digit passcode when the terminal asks for it:__________
  4. Press 1 to listen to any voice message that have been left for you.
  5. After each message, you may erase, store, or repeat the last message.

Press 3 to erase the message & play the next message.

Press 5 to keep the message & to play the next message.

Press 7 to repeat the last message.

Press # to terminate the session & hang up.

Press * to return to the main terminal menu.

F. To Record Your Voice Greeting, in step D, press 84 instead of 1.

A typical recording will explain to callers that they can punch in a message or speak their message at the tone.

Customized Voice Prompt Only

  1. Dial your Pager Number:_____________________
  2. Press 0 when the terminal answers.
  3. Enter your four digit passcode:_________________
  4. Press 1 to record you greeting.

Customized Prompt with Message Insurance

  1. Dial your Pager Number:_____________________
  2. Press 0 when the terminal answers.
  3. Enter your four digit passcode:_________________
  4. Press 81 to record your Customized Greeting.
  5. After each message, you may erase, store, or repeat the last message.

Press 3 to erase the message & play the next message.

Press 5 to keep the message & to play the next message.

Press 7 to repeat the last message.

Press # to terminate the session & hang up.

Press * to return to the main terminal menu.

Message Insurance Only

  1. Dial your Pager Number:____________________
  2. Press 0 when the terminal answers.
  3. Enter your four digit passcode:_________________
  4. Press 1 to listen to any pages you think you might have missed receiving due to being out of range or say a dead battery.
  5. After each message, you may erase, store, or repeat the last message.

Press 3 to erase the message & play the next message.

Press 5 to keep the message & to play the next message.

Press 7 to repeat the last message.

Press # to terminate the session & hang up.

Press * to return to the main terminal menu.
